Legal and privacy
Clear terms for a conversational AI product.
This page explains the rules for using Ask Crump, the information the service processes, and the limits that apply to AI-generated responses and third-party data.
Effective August 1, 2026
Terms of use
By creating an account or using Ask Crump, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Permitted use
You may use Ask Crump for lawful personal, educational, creative, and professional purposes. You are responsible for the prompts, files, and other content you submit and for how you use the output.
Prohibited use
You may not use the service to facilitate illegal activity, exploit or endanger another person, distribute malware, conduct fraud, impersonate others, violate intellectual-property rights, interfere with the service, bypass usage controls, or access another user's account or data.
Account responsibility
Keep your credentials secure and provide accurate account information. Notify security@askcrump.com if you believe your account or device session has been compromised.
Availability and changes
The service may change, experience interruptions, or rely on third-party systems that are outside Clever Crump's control. Features may be modified or discontinued when required for reliability, safety, legal compliance, or product development.
Suspension and termination
Access may be limited or terminated for material violations of these terms, abuse of the service, security risk, nonpayment, or legal obligation. Users may delete their account from the application or follow the instructions on the account-deletion page.
AI and third-party service disclosures
Conversational responses are generated through configured AI providers. Image requests may be sent to OpenAI. Current-information requests may use Brave Search or OpenWeather. Provider availability and behavior may change.
No professional advice
Ask Crump does not replace a physician, attorney, financial adviser, mental-health professional, emergency service, or other licensed professional. Do not rely on the service as the sole basis for a high-impact decision.
Output and intellectual property
You may use outputs subject to applicable law, these terms, and the terms of any relevant provider. AI output may resemble existing material and may not be unique or eligible for intellectual-property protection. You are responsible for reviewing output before publication or commercial use.
Current information
Search results, weather data, citations, and links come from third parties. Clever Crump does not control every source and does not guarantee that third-party information is accurate, available, safe, or appropriate.
Privacy notice
Ask Crump processes information needed to provide accounts, conversations, synchronization, safety controls, billing, and optional notifications.
| Information | Purpose | Typical recipients |
|---|---|---|
| Name and email | Account creation, verification, recovery, and support | Supabase and the configured email provider |
| Conversation content | Generate responses, retain history, and synchronize devices | Supabase and relevant AI or context providers |
| Submitted files | Perform the analysis requested by the user | Relevant AI provider during processing |
| Session and device information | Persistent sign-in, security, revocation, and troubleshooting | Supabase and hosting logs |
| Usage and delivery events | Limits, reliability, abuse prevention, and message status | Supabase |
| Push token and check-in preferences | Deliver optional proactive messages | Supabase, APNs, or Firebase Cloud Messaging |

Credentials and payment data
Passwords are stored as one-way hashes. Session, verification, and reset credentials are stored in hashed form. Ask Crump does not receive complete payment-card numbers from Stripe or the platform stores.
Retention
Account and conversation data remains available while the account is active unless deleted sooner. Security, billing, fraud-prevention, backup, and legally required records may follow separate retention periods.
User controls
Users can delete conversations, export conversation history, revoke device sessions, disable check-ins and notifications, and permanently delete the account. Deleting the Ask Crump account does not automatically cancel an Apple or Google subscription; that subscription must also be managed through the applicable store.
Security
The service uses encrypted transport, HTTP-only web cookies, secure native credential storage, account-scoped caches, rate limits, and server-side ownership checks. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Subscriptions and billing
Web subscriptions are processed by Stripe. iOS and Android subscriptions are processed through the applicable platform store and RevenueCat. Prices, taxes, renewal terms, refund rights, and cancellation methods are shown by the billing provider before purchase.
Subscriptions renew until canceled through the provider that processed the purchase. Deleting an account does not itself cancel a store subscription.
Age requirement
Ask Crump is intended for users age 17 or older. Users must also satisfy any higher minimum age required by local law or the applicable platform. The service is not designed for children and should not be used in environments that require child-directed controls unless those controls are separately implemented and verified.
Warranty and liability
To the extent permitted by law, Ask Crump is provided without warranties of uninterrupted availability, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or noninfringement. Clever Crump is not responsible for decisions made solely from AI output or for third-party services outside its control.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions or liability limitations, so these provisions may not apply in full.
